All submitted papers will be peered review. It should be noted that "Environmental Stresses in Crop Sciences, "Drought and Climate change Research" journal provides access to archived material through the journal archives.  All articles published open access will be immediately and permanently free for everyone to read and download. Permitted reuse is defined by Creative Commons user license called Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License.

Double blind peer review methods are employed to maintain standards of quality, improve performance, and provide credibility. We believe that peer review is more relevant than ever as the system for evaluating the quality, validity, and relevance of scholarly research. 

All manuscripts submitted to "Drought and Climate change Research" journal must be original contributions, and must not be under consideration for publication with another journal, nor have been previously published, in part or whole. Peer review, also known as refereeing, is a collaborative process that allows manuscripts submitted to a journal to be evaluated and commented upon by independent experts within the same field of research.

In this journal, the received manuscripts are sent to the reviewers within a maximum period of one week, and the first step of manuscripts evaluation of is usually done within one to two months.

The steps from submitting to acceptance/rejection of an article are briefly as follows:

 

  • Authors must register on the jdcr.birjand.ac.ir system to submit their articles and to track the status of their articles.
  • After preparing the article according to the Journal’s format (Guide for Author), the author must first register in the journal and then after login, the author can submit the manuscript along with the required files.
  • In the preliminary check, the managing editor checks the article to ensure that all the required files are submitted, there is no plagiarism (ithenticate), the manuscript format is correct, etc. If the manuscript needs revisions, it would be returned to the author and if approved, it will be assigned to the technical editor of the journal.
  • Received articles will be first reviewed by the editorial board and, if found to have initial qualifications, will be sent to three expert reviewers for evaluation. To maintain impartiality, the names of the author(s) are removed from the article.
  • The received manuscripts will first be reviewed by the editors and, if they meet the initial qualifications, will be submitted to reviewers for evaluation.
  • The editor is a member of the editorial board who is selected by the editor-in-chief.
  • In this journal, to maintain impartiality, the editor is required to select only one reviewer from the publishing institution (University of Birjand).
  • The author(s) are wholly responsible for the originally and validity of content of their submission.
  • Accepted manuscripts will be published with the approval of the editorial board members.
  • It is essential that authors attach a prepared commitment and conflict of interest file when submitting their manuscript, stating that they have not submitted their manuscript for publication or review to another journal.

Review process of manuscripts:

In the "Journal of Drought and climate change Research (JDCR)", for each manuscript according to its topic, a specialized editor is appointed by the chief editor from among the members of the editorial board of the journal. The specialized editor sends the manuscript through the site to several related reviewer. After receiving the opinions of the reviewer, their opinions are summarized by the specialized editor and the chief editor.
